Baize of Glory

baize of glory east fife pool league

The Chairman of one of the oldest pool leagues in Scotland has written a book charting the progress of the organisation from its beginnings in 1973 up to the present day.

The East of Fife Pool League chairman, Gary Bremner, has delved back in time and assembled a publication full of statistics from throughout the league’s forty-three years.
He has interviewed dozens of players from the "guy down the pub" to a World Pool Champion, all of whom have played within the league.
This is a fact-filled publication, with over 400 pages in full colour.

The book chronicles events from the time the Fifeshire pub in Kirkcaldy lifted the first League Championship in 1974, up to 2015 when a team from the Station Hotel, Thornton won the League and Cup double.
“Baize of Glory” provides facts and figures from every pool league season, publishes league tables and lists teams as far back as has proved practicable.
